The Roseland CLT is constantly looking for sites to develop or convert for affordable housing. We need your help to find more.
The CLT will always seriously consider potential sites of ALL sizes – even for the provision of one or two homes – and encourages people to contact us to suggest potential sites.
Potential sites might be disused residential or (suitable) commercial buildings that could be converted to homes, infill land or undeveloped land.
If you own or know of any of the following and think they should be considered for small or large affordable housing conversions or developments to sustain the community, please contact us:
(i) holiday lets;
(ii) hotel, guest house etc;
(iii) redundant building (such as a barn);
(iv) infill land within the settlement boundaries of Roseland designated villages (St Mawes, St Just, Gerrans/Portscatho, Veryan and Veryan Green);
and
(v) other land adjacent to the settlement boundaries of one of these villages.
The Roseland CLT is in regular dialogue with Cornwall Council (and our local elected Council representative) because the Council owns parcels of land across Cornwall, including on the Roseland, some of which may be suitable for small scale affordable housing development. They also own a considerable number of buildings that are potentially capable of being converted for housing use. The viability of several of these opportunities are being and have been evaluated.
In addition, other sites have been, and will be, assessed against specific Roseland policies concerning different methods of delivering affordable housing.
